17 weeks

I officially hit my 17 week mark yesterday... I can't believe how fast I feel like time is going, it's so crazy.  I've still been feeling really crappy too, I was hoping it'd be better but it seems to be one thing after another, from the nausea to the migraines I started getting, then it was horrible back pain.  I seriously thought I had a kidney infection but when I went in Karen said it all looked good and was just ligaments... the joys of pregnancy right?!

We went in for our 16 week appointment and I was so anxious the whole weekend leading up to it, I was SO set on it being a girl mostly just because of how totally different this pregnancy has been so far. I can't believe how much more sick I have been and just miserable in general!  Preston left work to meet me there and she started the hunt... first the baby had their legs crossed, after some shaking the cord was between their legs, little stinker did not want us to know! Eventually she got a glimpse and I don't think there's ANY denying it's a boy ha ha!

To say I was shocked was an understatement, I just couldn't believe it!  Even Preston was like are you sure? ha ha.  I think we both just thought it was a girl.  I was sad at first because If it was a girl I was probably going to be done having kids, pregnancy is just so hard for me and I don't want any more than three anyways, but I don't know if I can handle the thought of three boys either so I don't know what I want to do now.. We will just have to wait until this little one comes out and see how he is ;)

It's not that I don't want another boy, I know he and Aiden will be the best of friends and I can just see now the muddy messes, piles of trains, and whatever else they will get into and they will love every minute of it.  I just worry because Aiden wasn't an easy baby.  From the colic, to the silent reflux, the undescended testicle, not sleeping through the night until 15 months, and he still to this day hates going to sleep. But I know that almost all of that could happen whether it was a girl or a boy, I also wanted to be able to use all of the baby girl clothes I've collected over the past few years.  But I am just happy to have a healthy baby come August, just don't talk to me about the delivery part ok?

How far along?  17 weeks - It's a BOY
Baby's size? Size of a pomegranate, doctor measured baby to be about 5 ounces at my 16W appt.
Sleep? still sleeping ok, some nights it takes me longer to fall asleep but I don't feel super uncomfortable yet.  My body pillow is helping a lot!  I've always been a belly sleeper, even with Aiden I remember being like 6 months pregnant and waking up on my stomach, how I managed that I don't know. So now that I'm not as nauseated and can sleep on my stomach I'm doing much better!
Currently living in? Yoga pants and t-shirts! I did buy a few new pair of maternity jeans and they are much more comfortable when we're going out.
Have you started showing yet? not yet, I feel like I'm right on the edge where I look and feel like I've just gained a little too much weight ha.
I'm feeling: Not as nauseated, it's since been replaced with horrible migraines.
Food cravings/aversions? Craving chocolate freal shakes and hamburger patties from home, nothing really in particular is making me sick though.
Movement? none yet
Wedding ring on or off? on
Looking forward to: our big 20 week appointment! I always look forward to our next visits so we can see the babe and visit with Karen.
